The Human Resources and Compensation Committee oversees the design and operation of the bank’s compensation programs to ensure alignment with strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements. This encompasses all matters relating to the proper utilization of human resources within the bank, with a special focus on CEO, executive, and senior management succession, development, performance and compensation.

Shelley has significant governance experience in both private and public-sector organizations. She serves on the Boards of BC Life and Casualty Company (Pacific Blue Cross) and Sources Community Resources Foundation. Previously she served as Chair of Douglas College, Vice Chair at HFN LNG Development Corporation, and as an Independent Commissioner at the BC Securities Commission. Shelley's held senior financial positions at several multi-national companies, including Vice President and Corporate Treasurer at Finning International and Corporate Treasurer at Fletcher Challenge Canada.
